Substitution effect of protein source with tea waste on productive performances and ruminal fermentation in crossbred Saanen lactating goats

چکیده

Tea waste (TW) has a protein content of approximately 30% and the potential to replace other sources. However, effect dietary TW supplement is still ambiguous. The objective this study was investigate three levels on performances physiological changes in goats. Nine multiparous crossbred Saanen lactating goats were arranged replicates 3 × Latin square. groups fed with 0, 5, or 10 by weight [wt%] dry matter [DM] basis TW, respectively, for 21-day period. All diets total mixed ration (TMR) containing 40:60 (DM basis) ratio concentrate: roughage. weighed at 15 21 days. Faeces urine collected during last 7 days each addition had no DM intake (DMI), DMI% body weight. milk wt% diet significantly higher (p < 0.05) than that diets. lactose both decreased when compared control 0.01). Goats 5 tended decrease digestibility crude = 0.10). There digestibility, blood glucose, urea nitrogen, triglyceride, protein, ruminal pH, ammonia-nitrogen, volatile fatty acids, acetic acid (A), propionic (P), A:P ratio, nitrogen balance, allantoin excretion methane emission among treatments. Diets could be used plant sources.HighlightsThe tea replaced as source up 10% goat feed intake, profile production. The increased dairy goat.Low dose condensed tannin provided more absorption small intestine reducing NH3–N level.

Effect of Rumex Sc on Ruminal Fermentation, Blood Metabolites and Performance of Lactating Dairy Cow

This study investigated the effect of Rumex Sc (commercial product which includes of Saccharomyces cervisiae, saponin and essential oils) on rumen fermentation, blood glucose, urea, milk yield and milk composition. Animals were offered a basal diet containing alfalfa hay (15.5%), corn silage (24%), beet pulp (7%) and concentrate (53.5%). Additionally, Rumex Sc was included in the experimental d...

Effect of source of rumen-degraded protein on production and ruminal metabolism in lactating dairy cows.

Twenty-eight (8 with ruminal cannulas) lactating Holstein cows were assigned to seven 4 x 4 Latin squares in a 16-wk trial to study the effects on production and ruminal metabolism of feeding differing proportions of rumen-degraded protein (RDP) from soybean meal and urea. Diets contained [dry matter (DM) basis] 40% corn silage, 15% alfalfa silage, 28 to 30% high-moisture corn, plus varying lev...

Effect of steroidal sapogenins on ruminal fermentation and on production of lactating dairy cows.

Supplementation of dairy rations with steroidal sapogenins was evaluated in an in vitro, an in situ, and a production trial. Sixteen in vitro semicontinuous rumen cultures were supplied a 55:45 concentrate to roughage substrate with Sarsaponin concentrations of 0, 33, 55, and 77 ppm of air-dry feed for 22 d. Supplementation decreased protozoa numbers and increased bacterial numbers and acid det...
